Nickerson State Park
For our first stop of the day we stopped at Nickerson State Park. Here we met Mr. Matrango, a park ranger who told us all about the park and how special it was. Then we got our primitive fishing rods out and fished in one of the kettle ponds. I didn't catch any fish, but a few people caught tadpoles. After that we walked around some kettle ponds. The trail was hilly and occasionally on the top of hills there was a good view of a kettle pond. This was rare though because of the dense vegetation of different shapes and sizes of plants, some of them rare. After the walk we got on the bus and headed for Wings Island.
